The number of patients receiving treatment for mental illnesses is increasing every year. Rapidly changing social structures, socio-economic, and disasters and infectious disease pandemics are threatening the mental health of people. Mental health is very important for people to live their lives independently and with dignity. In the division of psychiatric and mental health nursing, we aim to make contributions from the standpoint of nursing such that people can live mentally enriching lives while respecting each other. We are engaged in developing certified nurse specialists and researchers to improve and solve mental health.
Our current research topics include tele-nursing for mental health and sleep of heart failure patients and the practices of certified nurse specialists in during covid-19 pandemic. We collabolate with researchers in various fields. With regard to education, we teach various theories, assessment techniques, intervention skills, etc., for advanced psychiatric nursing practices by lectures, role plays, group discussions, and supervision so that students can integrate the knowledge and skills. In the CNS program, we provide the training with experienced certified nurse specialists.
We hold case study meetings regulary for graduates to support and empower them.
